Amalfi Coast is located in the middle of the western part of Campania, in the South of Italy. Ancient Romans called this region "Campania Felix", also for its unique and pleasant weather. No hot summers as in Sicily, no fog as in Po Valley, no cold winters as in the northern part of Italy, and a sky that hates to be cloudy.

The weather in Sorrent is also similar to that in Amalfi Coast. Sorrento and its peninsula are on the west side of Amalfi Coast, just after Positano, that is the last town of the Amalfi Coast in North direction and closes Salerno Province.
